I was just sitting around cutting coupons today and I decided that couponers throw away WAY to many newspapers! I actually live in a wonderful town and have a paper recycle bin about 6 blocks from me! But I came up with some other ways that we could recycle some of the papers we end up with! 🙂 Please comment with any ideas you come up with!! 🙂

 

10 Uses for Old Newspapers

 

1. Check with your local animal shelter to see if they use them to line puppy pens.

2. Crumble them up and use them to clean windows instead of paper towels

3. Use the comic section for wrapping paper

4. Stuff some in an orphan sock for a playtoy for kitty

5. Use to cover your counter when the kids decide to get creative

6. Place them in the floorboard of your vehicle. It will absorb water and keep mud and dirt off the carpet

7. Use as Garden Mulch: You can use newspaper as mulch in you garden. Cut a hole in the middle of each sheet of newspaper. Slide the plant threw the hole and it will help keep weeds down and hold moisture in

8. Crumble up and put in tennis shoes and leave overnight to help remove odor

9. Line cabinets, pantry shelves, or drawers

10. Put under cat litter in the litter box and it will help absorb odor and you will use less liter
