I’m a BIG fan of Reese’s so this cupcake was like a match made in heaven for me! If you like chocolate and you like peanut butter, you’ll LOVE this cupcake! Let’s get started on how to make them!
Reese’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting
Total Time: about 45 minutes
Yield: 24 cupcakes
You need:
Cupcakes:
-1 box of chocolate cake mix
-Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Frosting:
-3/4 cup of Peanut Butter
-2 Cups Powdered Sugar
-6-8 Tablespoons of Milk
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
-You’re going to simply follow the instructions on the cake mix and make it by those directions. The only thing you need to add is the Reese’s.
-Take about 10 Reese’s cups and smash them up into little chunks
-Add those to your mix and stir them in!
-Pour into cupcake pans, filling the cups about ¾ of the way full!
-Bake as the box says
-Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before applying frosting.
Frosting:
-Begin by mixing the Peanut Butter and powdered sugar together!
-Once they are mixed until they create an even, smooth mixture begin slowly adding your milk, 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach the consistency that you desire.
-Now, once you’ve gotten your frosting how you like it, put it in to a frosting bag, if you don’t have a frosting bag, simply Put your frosting into a ziplock bag and cut one of the bottom corners, squeezing it out that way!
-If you don’t have either of these options you can simply spread the frosting onto your cupcakes using a spoon or rubber spatula.
-Now you’re all done! Enjoy!
You can add a Reese on top if you desire, if not just eat them regular! They’re GREAT either way! I hope you all enjoy making and eating these!
