A hot bath with soothing lavender bath salts are a wonderful way to relax and unwind. These make the ideal holiday gift, since they are inexpensive, quick and simple to make. Check your local Goodwill or Salvation army to find some cute jars to use to package up your gifts. I have found some great ones there. The more unique the jar the better it will look when you get it all packages up! There are many different essential oils that you can add, lavender just happens to be my favorite. Play around by mixing some together and see if you can come up with the perfect scent. Don’t forget to make some extra for yourself!
DIY: Lavender Bath Salts
Materials
- Epsom Salt
- Lavender Essential Oil
- Jars
- Spoon
- Mixing Bowl
- Funnel
Directions:
For each 4-oz jar, you will use 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts, and 10 drops of essential oil. Measure the salts into a mixing bowl, then add the essential oil and stir. Place the funnel in the jar and spoon the salts into the jar.
Add a pretty ribbon and you have a thoughtful handmade gift! My mom always told me there is nothing like getting a great handmade gift and boy was she right. You know the person that gave it to you make it just for you and spent their time and energy on making it perfect just because they love you!
